At Belvoirdale, we are proud to support children in their understanding of what a healthy life style should entail, both emotionally and physically.
We do this by promoting healthy eating, in school and at home, providing advice and assistance on maintaining an active lifestyle through the PE curriculum and after school clubs and by encouraging everyone to embrace a positive attitude to all aspects of life and work.
We encourage children to talk about their feelings and to be reflective when thinking about their individual wellbeing. Our full time ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) works with children to explore their thoughts and actions, because we know that a positive approach to learning is essential for progress and happiness.
Our PSHE and RSHE curriculum is progressive and introduces children to the differing thoughts and feelings that shape their lives.
Belvoirdale’s ethos of Dream it, Learn it, Live as well as our essential Characteristics are embedded in all aspects of school life and support the children to be resilient, creative and inclusive members of the school and the local community, while learning the values that make us proud to be British.
