At Belvoirdale we value the health and wellbeing of our children both inside and outside of the school community. Through our bespoke curriculum we teach the importance of maintaining a healthy mind (PSHE) and through our sports provision (PE) we promote an active lifestyle.
Our school SENCo works closely with local and national support agencies to ensure that all of our children’s needs are catered for and we employ a school psychotherapist to work one to one with individual children.
We are investing in a new school kitchen so that we can provide healthy meals cooked freshly on site each day. (September 2017). Each year we hold a Healthy Fortnight which encourages children and parents to make lifestyle changes through diet and exercise.
Please find below ideas and information to support these aspirations.
Please find below a mental health support leaflet produced by the Anna Freud Centre.
