In September 2019, it will be compulsory to teach RSE (Relationship and Sex Education) at Primary School across all year groups. In preparation for this, Belvoirdale have decided to follow a government recommended programme of study to ensure that this subject is taught accurately and thoughtfully.
It is vital that our children are taught the knowledge and the life skills they need to stay safe and to develop healthy and supportive relationships and therefore we are determined that this delicate but essential subject is taught with the full support of parents and carers and in an age appropriate manner.
Therefore, RSE will be taught in separate year groups to ensure that the learning is age appropriate.
Please find below the Parent RSE Booklets for each year group that provide an overview of what is learnt in RSE at each stage.
