The results below provide a broad indication of how well Belvoirdale Primary school is performing.
Attainment is a summative assessment of a child and Progress measures the impact of teaching and learning from a child’s starting point (year 2) to their end point (year 6).
Attainment and Progress are measured and reported at the following points in a child’s school life:
The term; Expected Standard (age related) is used to indicate that a child is on track for their age. Children can be working towards (below age related) or working above (Greater depth).
It is important to remember that children are different and work in different ways and at different paces.

The table below indicates the progress scores for all children at the end of KS2 (year 6). National expected progress is measured at 0.0. Anything above is an indication that a school is adding value to their children from their staring points and anything below indicates that some children have not made the expected progress. The parametres for progress are -5 to +5.
When school performance is evaluated, comparisons are made to other schools (children nationally). In the table below, there is also a comparison to other schools locally (LA)
It is important to remember that when analysing a school’s performance, contextual information is vital. Social and economic deprivation factors as well as the needs of the local area and families must be considered. The level of children who come from a disadvantaged background (pupil premium) and the number of children with SEND needs are important elements to consider when making a judgment.
