The Pupil Premium (PP) is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers. However, it must be remembered that not all pupil Premium children are behind their peers and that some are on track and in front. At Belvoirdale, we endeavour to support pupil premium children of all abilities in all areas of the curriculum. In the 2019 to 2020 financial year, primary schools have received £1,320 for each child (from Foundation Stage to Year 6) registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years. Primary schools have also received £2,300 for each child registered as being ‘Looked After Children’ (LAC). Furthermore, for Service Children (children in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence), £300 funding has been allocated.
